To provide strategic leadership direction to the Orapharma Sales organization and develop selling strategies that will enable this organization to drive revenue and earnings. The Regional Sales Director will have be responsibility for the direct oversight of Regional Managers and approximately half of the sales force.
The Regional Sales Director is responsible for the implementation of sales and marketing activity within the U.S.; including hiring, training and development, evaluation, compensation, account targeting and coverage, and effective deployment of both human and financial resources. The Director needs to have a sound business understanding to be able to develop action plans, effectively use operating budgets, analyze region business trends to identify opportunities and challenges in the marketplace and to make decisions that will support the overall sales and profit objectives.
The Regional Sales Director will play a key role in the development, implementation and execution of national strategies in conjunction with marketing. Effective collaboration with cross functional teams is essential.
